For Carrara 8.0
For Mac OS X, there are three Carrara distributions and separate installers Carrara_8.0.0.231_Mac64, Carrara_8.0.0.231_Mac32_i386 and Carrara_8.0.0.231_Mac32_ppc. The default locations are /Applications/DAZ 3D/Carrara8 64-bit, /Applications/DAZ 3D/Carrara8 32-bit and /Applications/DAZ 3D/Carrara8 ppc 32-bit. Open the Extensions folder of the one you are using. You will need to right click on the Carrara.app file and select Show Package Contents. You can then open the Contents , MacOS and finally the Extensions folder.
Extract and copy the Swap.dat, Swap.txt and Swap.mcx files from the corresponding folder in this Swap distribution to the Extensions directory of the Extensions folder you navigated to as above.
If you wish you can create a folder within Extensions for third party extensons, ( I use a folder call "Third Party"), and copy or move them into that folder. Also you can add this folder too the finder window sidebar for easier access.
If you are using more than one distribution repeat for the Carrara.app Extensions folder for that distribution using the corresponding Swap files.
